1- Eat frequently- This is ‘’The Rule’’ that you have to follow without fail. Eat every 2-3 hours.
Now when I say eat 2-3 hrs, this totally means, eat consciously every 2-3 hrs. Eating frequently will keep your energies high, raise the BMR and most importantly, help you burn Maximum Fat.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner- poha/ upma/ oats/ multigrain sandwich, whole egg + multigrain bread toast, roti + sabzi + curd or dal or chicken or fish/ daliya + milk or curd/ khichadi + kadhi
Mid morning, Late afternoon, evening snack- Milk/ curd/ nuts/ fruits/ vegetable juices/ roasted channa/ proteinshake/ paneer cubes

Take good 30 minutes to complete your meal. Chew each bite 30 times. I’m sure you’ll reduce your quantity to half or even lesser than that.
3- Veggies- Have once or twice any vegetable juice (not fruit juice) in a day. Vegetables are high on antioxidants which will sparkle you skin on the day of Diwali.
Combinations: mint + cucumber, spinach + tomato, bottle guard juice, tomato + carrot + bottle guard
4- Water- This is the most ignored ingredient. Less intake of water tries to retain water in the body leading to bloating and weight gain.
Drink 3Ls of water throughout the day and keep your weight on track with extra glowing skin.
5- Nuts and Oil seeds- Include omega 3 rich foods which will boost your metabolism and add glow to your skin super fast. Handful of Almonds, walnuts, cashew, flaxseed, pumpkin seeds and til will work wonderfully on your skin.
6- Stick to proteins- Milk and milk products like paneer, curd, cheese, eggs, chicken and fish, cereals and pulse combination can also give you essential proteins. Try and incorporate proteins along with every meal.
7- Physical Activity- Of course, you are already doing ‘’’Diwali Safai’’ but sticking to at least 20 mins of brisk walk will give you awesome results till Diwali.
8- Add on ingredients- Strawberries, oranges, apples, pineapple, lemons, and juicy fruits will improve your Vitamin C intake. Use ginger, lime juice, garlic, turmeric, ghee, cumin seeds wherever possible. This boosts the metabolism a lot.
9- Avoid unwanted foods- Fizzy, aerated drinks, refines flours or any bakery items, preserved foods like sauces and ketchups, sugary syrups or food additives, diet or low fat varieties.
10- Stick to freshly prepared foods
11- Try and eat homemade food as much as possible.
12- Try and carry food from home.
13- Stick to local, fresh foods and not imported foods.
