As I explained in my previous day’s blog that 95% people fail to reach their weight loss goal, not because of poor will but POOR PLANNING.
After meeting and counseling tons of people each day I got clear picture about why do people fail to achieve the goal.
There are 2 negatives attitudes associated with the failure:-
1. Right Now Attitude
Growing demented over getting results ‘NOW’, is one of the biggest reason of failure.
‘1 kg weight loss today’
‘No meals post 5 pm’
‘5 km run today’
Crazy! You have not moved your body from years. How can you make such an UNREALISTIC plans.
Either you will injure yourself or give up after a week or on the same day itself.
2. ‘Is she better’ Attitude
‘Mrs. Arora lost 15 kgs in 3 months, OMG and look at me. From tomorrow only on liquid diet’
‘I don’t eat food and it’s shown on her’
Quite a think in every kitty party!
Comparison: Such a human nature. Which can lower your self-esteem and the power to lose weight. The path becomes strenuous and tough to achieve with the load of comparison.
But no worries, we are Trend Setter! 😉
We will make EATING HEALTHY – TREND
IMPROVING STRENGTH – TREND
And SLOW WEIGHT LOSS – TREND
We will follow and people will follow us.
For Now, let’s dive in to the 5 awesome steps to make successful goals.
RULE NO # 1: ‘FOLLOW ME’ ATTITUDE
Reverse the world around you. Think of every jealously or competition in the opposite way.
Jealously: “Mrs. Arora lost 15 kgs in 3 months . Lemme be on liquid diet from tomorrow to be better than her.
Mindful Thinking: “I know she did a marvelous job. So will I, slowly and steadily. I have no competition with others”
Do not follow others, let people follow you.
Trust me, 50% of your weight loss burden falls down from your head.
Don’t get jealous
RULE NO # 2: MY WAY
STOP ASKING 100 PEOPLE how did you lose weight?
Every body works in a different way.
Gender, age, metabolism, medical history and many more things are responsible for more or less body fat. Make your own way.
NO following others path.
What worked for them not necessarily will work for you. Be unique, smart and make your own story of weight loss journey.
RULE NO # 3: INSPIRED ATTITUDE
Keep your old picture with you always or may be some celebrities picture who inspires you to look amazing.
This will keep you motivated to achieve goal. Also, if any of your friends or relatives lose weight, then take inspiration that even YOU CAN DO! 😆
NO jealousy, ONLY INSPIRATION.
RULE NO # 4: BRAINSTORMING NIGHT
Another 50% that will make your weight loss easy and on track is by planning your day and night priority.
Write down in your journal
· What you need to arrange to eat?
· What to pre-plan?
· What time to exercise?
Keep this a habit Always.
RULE NO # 5: BE REALISTIC
Be real Dude!! You can’t think of all the weight loss today. Take baby steps.
Be at ease and be comfortable. Of course, I’m not saying only rest but making smaller goals will make it easy for you to reach the bigger goals easily.
Eg: ’20 mins good workout with good intensity/ 20 mins of brisk walk.
‘0.5 – 1 kg weight loss every week’
Got that in your head. Now, seep them in your subconscious and download Goal Planner PDF and write down your goals today.
DAY #2: TODAY’S ACTIVITY PLAN–
1. Download Goal Planner PDF and write down the entire goal from now on. With each day’s email, keep adding a new goal into it.
2. Say antonyms in your mind if you feel competitive with your friends.
Eg: She did it and so will I—– She lost weight beautifully. I’m inspired from her and will try to keep up the good work towards health.
3. Rule no # 2 No falling prey to market gimmicks, quick fix methods or asking the whole world how they lost weight. Be patient and be yourself.
4. Rule no # 3 Keep your old pictures in your room to keep you inspired and motivated to achieve your goal easily with happiness.
5. With each day’s upcoming instructions in the course, you will keep setting your goals each night before sleeping to improvise your diet and exercise schedule.
6. Keep the document ready today and wait for tomorrow’s email to help you set goal and start taking actions.
