Do you have 1 person in family asking you to walk post lunch or dinner?
I’m sure you have one or maybe it’s you who thinks the same…
Poor stomach which is already so full and wants you to sit back in one place, is not allowing you to get up but still you push yourself, get set and start the uncomfortable movement.
Humans can do anything to lose weight but unfortunately they fail to listen to what their body needs.
You want to sleep but to keep yourself rock steady awake.
You fell hungry but you still starve.
You love carbs but you keep avoiding it.
You love ghee and you avoid it.
Body always signals you, but in our chaotic lifestyle, we somehow ignore the message it is trying to give us.
Walking post lunch and dinner is so common especially I’ve seen this happening in offices and in the building compounds where the coulpes are walking.
Why?
Because, it’s great for digestion…Nah nah I’ll help you lose weight…
People are literally yawn and walk… isn’t?
What’s the point of walking when you feel so lazy, low and sleepy. Plus you can’t even push your body 100% post eating as it might give you bad cramps in stomach.
So, is walking post lunch and dinner ideal?
NO…Not at all…
Why?
Because, the blood circulation is concentrated towards the stomach to digest food, in this case, if you start walking, body needs to then supply blood towards legs too. This leads to delayed and poor digestion.
Can we sleep after eating food?
YES. You can sleep. Keep a gap of atleast ½ hr post lunch to avoid regurgitation (reflux of food). Post dinner, you must keep a gap of 2 hours for better recovery of muscles in the night or else you will feel bloated.
Will I put on weight if I sleep in the afternoon?
NO. Weight gain (fat) happens only when you eat wrong food and not workout. Sleeping will rather improve your muscles recovery and gives maximum rest to your body.
Eat healthy, workout and rest as much as you want. That’s the only way to be healthy and fit. Relaxing during the day, keeps your mind more product to work as it leads to less stress.
”I get time to walk only after lunch and dinner, then what should I do?”
Don’t worry, you can keep a gap of at least 1hr post lunch and dinner to before any sort of workout.
Magical Action Plan:
· You should never go for walk post lunch or dinner immediately.
· Never workout immediately after eating lunch or dinner.
· If you plan to workout post lunch or dinner then keep a gap of 1 hr at least.
· Take a nap if you feel sleepy after eating lunch
