This Mantra works for everyone.
I’m sure you are trying to make healthy changes and are eating only ‘Ghar ka Khana’ but still you are facing issues with weight gain is only because of not dividing the meals.
What is this Dividing your meals Fanda?
Diving your meals simply means diving the portion of food that you eat at a time. Eg: eat 1 roti now and 1 after 2 hours.
Therefore, you will divide your meals from 4 to 8 portions.
What logic does this make on weight loss?
It’s because you are eating as per you stomach size.
Your stomach is only your palm size, did you know that? 😯
When you eating larger portion than your stomach, you are overfilling your stomach with unnecessary calories. The excess food gets stored as fat.
Now when you divide the portion into 2 meals, the smaller meal will be used by the body as energy and will not get converted to fat.
”Will I not put on weight if I eat 8 times”
No, rather you will burn more fat.
Why?
Because when you eat food, body needs to burn fat for energy to digest food, therefore when you eat 8 times, you’ll burn 8 times more than what you burn only by eating 4 times.
”I don’t have time to eat/ cook 8 times”
You need not cook or open your big tiffin box in the office again and again.
You can divide your day into 2 parts:
1- 3 main meals- breakfast, lunch and dinner
2- 3 mini meals- mid morning, late afternoon and evening
Breakfast , lunch and dinner can be the usual meals that you carry or cook whereas the mini meals can be smaller handy, easy to carry foods like peanuts, yogurt, soya nuts, protein bar, almond, walnuts, milk, paneer cubes, dips with veggies.
How will you know, you are eating as per your stomach size?
You need not measure the quantity. Your body will know how much to eat by follow a simple strategy – EAT SLOW
Eating slow and chewing your food well satisfies your stoach and signal the sense of fullness when its done. Eating too fast confused the stomach and leads toovereating.

Which are not the ideal mini meals?
- Only drinking coconut water (you must have it with malai)
- Thin chaas (when there is more water and very less curd)
- Kurmura, rice puff (it’s like eating air)
- Biscuits (All the biscuits are transfat whether multigrain or whole wheat)
- Khakra (digests too fast)
- Fruit juice (you will gain weight- fat)
- Vegetable juice (digests too fast)
- Soup (it’s an appetizer, not a mini meal)
- Only salad (again it’s an appetizer, not a mini meal)
Magical Action plan:
· Never have large and lesser meals.
· Larger meals will increase your body fat tremendously.
· Plan 3 main meals and 3 mini meals a day prior to keep the meals on track the next day.
· Never skip your meals.
· You’ll realize, that your portion has reduced by eatingmore smaller meals.
· You’ll feel super energetic with 7-8 meals pattern.
· You’ll lose more fat.
· Stick to more of healthy fasts and proteins for mini meals like nuts, peanuts, curd dips with veggies, pulses, soya, milk, paneer, eggs, peanut butter with multigrain bread, coconut water with malai, hummus with veggies.
· Never have fake foods like diet food, low fat foods to lose weight or as a mini meal. They are high in sugar and transfat. It will do the reverse effect- gain fat.
· Don’t have foods that doesn’t give enough strength as a mini meal like only thing chass, only coconut water, kurmura, khakra. They do not stay in the stomach for a longer time, therefore, keeps you hungery and makes you overeat in the next meal.
