So many products have taken over the food market and those catchy fancy words Low Fat, Skim Milk, Slim Milk, Fat Free and what not, never fails to draw your attention.
So, should we stick to the Full Cream tasty Milk or go for the Low Fat watery variety?
The Good News is- DRINK FULL FAT/ FULL CREAM MILK 😆 Yeah, to LOSE FAT 😆
How’s that possible?
The LOGIC is that Skimmed milk is Fat free which makes the Natural Sugar in the milk (lactose) very fast absorbed. When you consume skimmed milk, it increases blood glucose levels fast and when the blood glucose levels goes too high, the excess gets converted to Fat stores.
In case of Full Cream Milk, the natural sugar in the milk (lactose) is restricted to get absorbed in the blood too fast. Since, it is restricted, it doesn’t give a shock to the blood glucose levels to spike too high. It keeps your body out of the lypogenesis (increasing body fat).
Another advantage of having Whole Cream Milk is that you Feel Full for a longer time and so, you tend to feel Less Hungry.
And don’t worry if you have hypercholestrol or diabetes, you still can consume full fat milk. Why?
Because, the reason behind your hypercholestrol is not Fat but the excess carbohydrate. Replacing carbohydrates with healthy fats will improve the blood glucose levels and cholestrol. Another problem about Milk is it’s acceptance 🙄
Going Vegan is all over the place but why are we forgetting that we grew up with mother’s milk. We have grown up with foods like malai, paneer, lassi, chaas, makhan etc traditionally.
Milk is our staple. I totally understand that adultration is all over but that is not only resdtricted to milk but also with fruits, vegetables, dals, etc. I don’t mean to say here that have adultrated food but we can’t escape the fact that every food is adultrated then why eliminate only milk?
